Fingerless gloves designed for my Hand Knitting course at Parsons. The gloves use three different patterns; a single cable stitch, a parallelogram pattern, and a simple rib on the top and bottom for stretch.

The back of the hand features the double single cable stitch.
The palm of the glove features the parallelogram stitch.

These mittens were a freehanded knitting project. I did not follow a pattern or make gauge swatches. I designed them as I went and added finger holes for my thumb and index finger.

Freehanded crochet mitten design. I originally started crocheting before knitting and attempted to break out my skills once again to make these.
The fiber is a soft mohair.

Hand Designs

As a designer, I’m always drawn to creating larger pieces but being able to make a smaller piece like gloves and mittens is a nice change of pace. The pieces above feature different fiber contents as well as patterns.
